Tour Information
and Frequently Asked Questions
WHO CAN GO?
Almost anyone can go on the trip. Please use caution if you are
bringing a youngster. They will need to handle hours of riding on the
bus without disturbing others. People should also be physically fit enough
to walk a reasonable distance. Travelers must be at least 18 years of
age to travel without a legal guardian.
WHERE DOES THE TRIP BEGIN?
The trip begins in Redwood Falls (check next question for locations).
We will also be making a pick-up in Bloomington. This will be convenient
for people who live in the Twin Cities area and for fly-in travelers.
WHERE DO I LEAVE MY CAR?
The hotel (pick-up/drop-off location) will allow you to leave
your vehicle in its parking lot. Check with them to find out where they
want you to leave it. In addition, please be sure to provide the hotel
any information they may need. The hotel in Bloomington will charge a
fee for leaving your vehicle in their parking lot.

Ramada Mall of America, 2300 E American Blvd., Bloomington, MN 55425 (952)

WHERE WILL WE SPEND EACH NIGHT?
Each night will be spent in a hotel. I make every effort to try
to stay at Hampton Inn hotels as often as possible. The warm breakfast
option and overall quality of their hotels have made them a favorite place
for our travelers to stay.
WHAT CAN I BRING?
You may bring one large suitcase and small carry-on (per person).
There won't be room for large coolers on the bus. Some other items you
may want to bring include a pillow,
magazines/books, playing cards/games, camera, iPod, possible rain/cooler
weather gear, etc.
IS THE ITINERARY SUBJECT TO CHANGE?
Changes are made if Major League Baseball changes a game time.
A game called due to rain/weather, a rain delay, extra-innings, road construction,
or some other unforeseen event could also impact the schedule. If we experience
a game that is cancelled, we will be on to our next destination (or out
of luck).
IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON THE BUS?
No. The goal of the trip is to maintain a family atmosphere whether
you are traveling with family or friends. This does not mean one cannot
have a few beers while enjoying a game. I just want to stay away from
the loud and obnoxious behavior that is associated with alcohol on the
bus.
IS SMOKING ALLOWED ON THE BUS?
No. However, we make rest stops on a regular basis.
SEATING LOCATION AT THE GAMES.
We usually get the best available group seating locations at
each ball park. It's easy to get lower level seats around home plate in
a place like Pittsburgh. However, it will be much harder to get good seating
in a place like the new Yankee Stadium, but we do get the best available
tickets to those places.
SEATING LOCATION ON THE COACH.
There will be assigned seating on the first day of the tour so
nobody traveling together gets separated. We will also rotate seats during
the tour. This will ensure that nobody gets stuck in a certain location
for 9-11 days.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Single Price: for the single traveler. Remember, you may pay
the double rate if you are a single traveler who is willing to have a
roommate (hotel rooms will have double beds).
Double Price: per person for two travelers sharing one
hotel room (you may choose single or double beds)
Triple Price: per person for three travelers sharing
one hotel room with double beds.
Quad Price: per person for four travelers sharing one
hotel room with double beds.

Tour #2 (July 27-August 4)

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
The price includes transportation in a motor coach with air-conditioning,
bathroom, and TV/VCR/DVD. It also includes hotel, game tickets, and everything
else in the itinerary. Basically, the only thing you have to pay for is
meals and souvenirs.
HOW IS PAYMENT FOR THE TRIP HANDLED?
To reserve your spot on the bus, simply fill out the "Tour Registration
Form" along with a $200/person deposit. I'm sorry, but credit cards
are not accepted.
Once registered, I will notify you of receiving your down payment and
registration form.
In early April, I will be sending out additional materials which will
include final payment information. It will also have the name/address/telephone
number of each hotel as well as other information such as a rooming list,
itinerary, a map to your pick-up/drop-off hotel, etc.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
If you cancel 31 days or more before the tour, you will receive a full
refund.
If you cancel less than 31 days before the tour, except for your deposit
($200/person), you will receive a full refund. However, if I have someone
on a waiting list to take your place, I will happily return your deposit,
too.
